THE HELICOPTER ACCIDENT

On Sunday afternoon of October 8 a helicopter accident happened in a close vicinity of Rally Liepāja special stage 11. An accident involving a helicopter of our long-term partner Baltijas Helikopters, as reported, with four passengers on board – two Latvians, and two Poles.

While three persons are at the hospital under surveillance by the medics, the fourth one – close friend of Rally Liepāja competitor Kajetan Kajetanowicz has lost his life in this tragic event.

On behalf of the team of rally organizers, I express my deepest condolences to the relatives and friends of the deceased, as well as I wish for strength to the injured fighting for their lives.
