Remennik, the winner of the Russian Rally Championship’s N4 division in 2016, is planning to tackle all European rounds in 2017 as he chases success in the ERC2 category. Mark Rozin will co-drive his Mitsubishi Lancer. The car will be prepared by Latvia-based team PROSPEED.

“This season we take part in the most prestigious European series, the ERC,” said Remennik. “We will drive in N4 as we already know and are well acquainted to it. We evaluated our strengths, time and budget and decided that this class suites us. Our trainer, Alexey Lukyanuk, inspires us, plus he has great experience which he eagerly shares.”

Remennik is a former Ural region champion in autocross and rallying and has been successful in the Baltic Rally Trophy and European Rally Trophy.

“We plan to start all the season rallies and hope our plans will come true,” he said. “Now our preparation consists of physical training and simulators. As there is nothing of the kind in Urals we are trying to drive the track once a week at least on ice, not to lose practice and then we plan to drive several days on gravel in Latvia plus there will be the test possibility at Azores before the rally start.”

Remennik will begin his ERC campaign on the Azores Airlines Rallye later this month.
